AGM and Green
A book is like a garden carried in the pocket.
A bird in the hand is worth two in a bush.
A broken hand works, but not a broken heart.
I am getting that floating sensation again…sitting in front of the computer and typing … looking at the screen (which Dad just got changed)… this girl feels more like she is hovering and not working with gravity… mind you, this is happens only when I am very tired… O.olll
That said, I shall try not to fly away while typing all this out… wish me luck…
The A.G.M (aka Annual General Meeting) on Sunday was the first one I attend as a member of my church. I never attended one before and ironically enough, my mum, while she was still a member of the church never attended one of them. O.o Any-o-hows, the whole thing was a fusion of irony, irritancy, headaches and interesting things. Weird combination I know, the whole day was just a big lump of ironies anyway. The biggest irony was that the sermon for that say was titled: The End Is Near. It was very powerful and I am glad that people gave their lives to the Lord when they heard the message. The point is this, that very same afternoon, members of the church debated on the topic of leasing out a piece of land to another church because of the sentimental value which the place had for many of the older members of the congregation.
If the end is near, why were/are they so concerned about the transaction of money, the monetary value of the ‘deal’ and the history of the place?!
The more important thing is that through the other church, more souls get saved right?!
Shesh~
Now… think about it… do you find it odd that I am finally officially a member of my church and I yet I am dissing it in such a manner?
Hahaha… is it me or is it society that makes me this way?
I left the AGM at 5.15pm to rush down to the CC for the training session which started at 5pm. I passed my ballots to Elise jie to hand in. All the people got elected and all the resolutions got passed… according to Auntie Jac, the whole thing ended at 6pm… good thing I left early… I grabbed a cab following my exasperation in waiting for the bus… the driver was an uncle who has not driven for a very long time. He did not know how to get to the CC and had a headache trying to decide which route was best to get there. I gave him the directions to the place and gave him a tip in the end. Before you scold me for letting my money fly, I shall put up my defense and say that I have a soft spot for old man… the kindly looking ones and that I believe he really needed the money.
Training was good. I taught my class and that was about it. Hung out with my society guys and ended walking home with Charlie and Jared. Charlie was at the CC practicing his break dancing moves with his friends.
Got home, studied and packed for today. Slept late coz I stayed up to watch Wrestle Mania 21. Woohooo~
It has been a very long time since I watched a WWE special and this one was indeed very unique. Stone Cold! Edge! Shawn Michaels! John Cena! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!
-migumi laughter-
Both Desmond and I stayed up to watch it, had a lot of things to comment about the matches… hahaha…
The spoofs of the movies the superstars did were priceless! I love the Gladiator one! And the one with Eugene! He is so adorable! Mah chum like a teddy bear! Hahaha…
Had sociology lecture with Dr. Wong from 1pm to 4pm. Having finished the lecture, I and Desmond, who was in the same class, went up to the student lounge to study. We also got something to eat before training started. As it went, Gen and Chen Qing were supposed to come for training, but none of them turned up. That left me and Des to have a personalized training session with Mr. Chow. Heh~
Wednesday should prove to be very different. It being the last session before the SIM May break and all… the turn out should be big and it being a Wednesday, we will get to spar.
-migumi laughter-
Oh yeah, I passed the grading and am now a green belter. :D

All my peeps having exams soon:

I shall take my own advice…back to the books for me... I wonder if I will float away from the words on the pages…
